The PFERD TOOLS 840 SLIM is a precision tang file with a slim half-round profile: type HALFR FILE 840 150 C2, 150 mm long, 12 mm wide, 3.5 mm thick, cross-cut Swiss cut 2 for medium-fine precision work. The half-round face reaches curved grooves and fillets while the flat face handles straight edges - the typical shaping file for toolroom, die work and fine deburring on small components. Materials include steels up to 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC) plus aluminum, brass, copper, bronze, zinc and grey cast iron.
