Product overview: the BKM93 Basic (article 6304244) is the entry-level broken tool detector controller of the BK Mikro tool monitoring range. Paired with a TK94A scanner head it checks the presence and condition of tools after every machining cycle: the scanner swings its wand against the tool, the controller compares the returned angle with the taught reference and sends an O.K. or K.O. signal to the machine PLC - a broken or missing tool stops the machine before it can crash or scrap a workpiece.
