The PROSOFT 5304-MBP-PDPM is a high-performance protocol gateway that seamlessly bridges PROFIBUS DP networks with Schneider Electric’s Modbus Plus (MB+) industrial networks. Designed for bi-directional data exchange in multi-vendor automation environments, this module enables real-time communication between PROFIBUS DP masters (e.g., Siemens PLCs) and Modbus Plus devices (e.g., Modicon Quantum). The PROSOFT 5304-MBP-PDPM operates as a PROFIBUS DP slave and Modbus Plus master, translating up to 1,000 registers with configurable mapping. Its rugged DIN-rail design features 2.5 kV optical isolation between networks, eliminating ground loops while supporting PROFIBUS DP baud rates up to 12 Mbps and MB+ at 1 Mbps.
With dual independent processors and non-volatile memory, the PROSOFT 5304-MBP-PDPM maintains configuration during power loss. Diagnostic LEDs and web-based management simplify troubleshooting. Certified for -40°C to +85°C operation with 30g shock resistance, it withstands harsh substations, oil rigs, and manufacturing floors where protocol interoperability is critical for SCADA integration.

Installation and Maintenance
